A very easy to use fibre optic lighting loom for Warhammer 40k vehicles or other models. Kit includes 10 x fibre optic strands only.
Installation is best done before gluing the model together so wiring can be hidden in the shell of the model. Holes are best drilled before painting.
Fibre optic strands will be left 5 inches long for trimming to correct length after installation.
Kit includes:
- 1 x 5mm LED with 10 x 0.75mm fibre optics strands attached with choice of colour (15mm bend radius)
- Available in 3 volt or 12 volt options
- Additional fibre optic looms can be run off the same battery up to a maximum of 4.
- Fibre optic loom kit with 3v battery holder including on/off switch also available
These are fairly simple to install. Installation is best done before gluing the model together so wiring can be hidden in the shell of the model. Holes are best drilled before painting. Choose where you want the fibre optic strands to go and drill a hole of the appropriate size, glue in place with hot melt glue and connect the LED wires to the battery wires using the connector block. The wiring can be hidden in the front or base of the model and a hole drilled for the mini on/off switch to pop through then glued in place. The coin cell battery is small enough to be easily hidden inside the model.
